We are reminded of today's heat as we past the Stupidity Trailer
It's 7:00 am and we are excited to ride today
Here we are on the road to Grand Junction, our first town

Oops!  There's a big traffic jam ahead
So we walk for a while, typical of Ragbrai
It's bigger than we thought - look at all the people ahead of us.
...and all the people behind us.
Chris leading the rolling wave.
We break free and head to Farm Kids for breakfast - the line is super LONG!
After breakfast, we encounter a large field of wind turbines
Mid-American is installing the large blades on new towers.
The huge blades and are installed by by large cranes
Iowa has many fields of wind turbines - the wave of the future
It's noon and we arrive in Ogden IA.   check out the cool water tower
Chris meets Big Girl Gear friends from last year.  Check the cool Jersey
Trump Baby shows up in Ogden. Note the groping hands
Kim Jon Un, Putin, and the paid-off Porn Star surround Trump Baby
Chris and Pat lead the way into Boone as we pass thru the meeting town.
It's 2:45 pm so we pull into the Craft Beer Tent
It's hot and there is large crowd at the beer garden
We grab a beer and find some shade
There  are only a few places to sit
Chris is having a shandy (half lemonade)
We spot "dancing" Zebra Man (one of PBV's characters)
It's time to leave and follow the long line of cyclists.

We are saving time for one more stop - Beekman's Ice Cream
Here we are at Beekman's (our daily stop) for Ice Cream
Pick your flavor (Vanilla, Chocolate, Raspberry, Peach.
It's a long line, but the Beekman's Ice Cream is well worth it
After Beekman's, we rode into camp arriving about 4:40 pm.   Mileage for the day is 66 miles and 1200 feet of climb.   While it was hot in the sun, it was cool riding and another great day of cycling.
